Case 1

A 68-year-old man with T1 N1 M0 carcinoma in pleomorphic adenoma of the left parotid region was treated with radiotherapy of 45 Gy to the primary tumor and 50 Gy to the left side of the neck at another hospital in March 1986. He was referred to our department with recurrence at the primary site and left side of the neck (rT2 N1 M0) in June 1987. He was treated with total parotidectomy and left radical neck dissection.
