Abstract

The isolation of a new cerebroside, 1-O-β-d-glucopyranosyl-(2S,3S,4R,11E)-2-[(2′R)-2′-hydroxypalmitoylamino]-11-octadecene-1,3,4-triol (polygalacerebroside) (1), from the aerial part of Polygala japonica is reported.
