2020, Radiotherapy and OncologyCitation Excerpt :No significant trend was observed for volume (3), although it was noted to increase in size just prior to death (likely from edema secondary to mass effect). Borok et al. reported on similar studies of combined IMWH + 192Ir IBT in six patients with BTs (one GBM, five metastatic lesions) [19]. They reported minimal complications: one patient experienced a transient headache postoperatively, with slow gait and past-pointing that resolved, and another was found to have a new afferent pupillary defect postoperatively.
