Analytic theory of the spin bipolaron in the t-J model

Abstract

An analytic theory of two mobile holes in the t-J model is presented, whose main ingredient is the exact form of the two-hole wavefunction. The resulting eigenvalue problem is solved in the mean-field approximation which, although qualitatively correct, turns out to be too crude to yield useful information about the system.
