Abstract

Quenched aqueous solution of Fe(ClO4)2 was investigated by neutron small-angle scattering (SANS). Several phase transitions were observed in the range of −180°C to 0°C. The results obtained indicated the presence of inhomogeneities in the sample volume, the size of which did not change, but their number increased drastically after the transitions.
