Abstract

To clarify the charge transport mechanism of LB films of [EDT-TTF(SC18)2]2I3, polarized infrared (IR) absorbance was measured on the single crystal of this salt. The observed anisotropy of the charge-transfer excitation spectra shows that the dimers with the shortened S…S contacts between adjacent donors are responsible for IR properties and charge transport mechanism.
