Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia in the hand

Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia is a rare benign tumor of vascular origin. The hand is one of its common locations. The case reported showed bony erosion that has not been described in the hand.

    Cognitive testing revealed no impairment after RT adjuvant therapy. Known by many names, such as Masson1 vegetant intravascular hemangioendothelioma, intravascular angiomatosis, Masson pseudoangiosarcoma, and others; the term IPEH was first used by Wehbe et al.2 in 1986. As described by Pierre Masson in 1923, IPEH is an intravascular benign lesion, consisting of a bunch of hyalinized papillary vegetations coated by a single layer of endothelial cells.
