Summary

This paper deals with the life span of Bausch & Lomb ultrathin lenses in the hands of 56 pathologically normal myopic patients. The daily use of Bausch & Lomb ultrathin lenses is analysed (over a maximum period of 5 years) and some surprising results found.

The Author suggests a time scale for lens replacementto avoid problematical practice.
