    Citation Excerpt :

A major concern with this method is the subjectivity of the answers that would affect the decision about causality.24 Some examples for the algorithmic method have been offered by Irey,25 Karch and Lasagna,26 Dangoumau et al,27 Begaud et al,28 Kramer et al,29–31 Blanc et al,32 Emanueli and Sacchetti,33 Naranjo et al,34 Stephens,35 Castle,36 Venulet et al,11,37–40 Moore et al,41 Stricker,42 Danan et al,14,15,43 Hoskins et al,44 Hsu et al,45 Maria and Victorino,46 Koh et al,47 and Horn et al.48 The third category is probabilistic methods (Bayesian approaches).

  • Pharmacovigilance – The next chapter

    2019, Therapie
    Citation Excerpt :

The data items needed to assess individual case reports have been collated in recommendations for datasets in published reports [13]. These different data items can be combined and used in many different ways, feeding algorithms, A classic one is the French Imputability model, where data is fed into a 3-way table (Table 1) to result in partial and global imputability scores [6,15,40]. Other methods use Bayesian approaches or scores, or computer assisted probabilities [17–19,29,36,41].
