A typology of cross-border patient mobility
2010, Health and PlaceCitation Excerpt :Finally, the collapse of the Zimbabwean health system has sparked patient mobility to neighbouring countries for basic medical care delivered gratuitously. According to Mozambican authorities, hundreds of Zimbabweans cross the border to receive antiretroviral drugs (Meldrum, 2008). Antiretroviral therapy is free of charge in Mozambique for nationals and non-nationals (Kiwanuka and Monson, 2009).
