Discussion

The transplantation of kidneys with pelviureteric junction (PUJ) obstruction has been rarely described in the literature. Lowell et al2 briefly mention a case of a kidney transplant with PUJ obstruction. However, they did not provide complete information about the preoperative quality of this particular kidney, such as a GFR determination, and there was no long-term follow-up of the particular patient.
