Abstract

In conclusion, predictors of short-term mortality for patients with acute myocardial infarction have not changed with the advent of the thrombolytic era. Two criteria based on age, diabetes, and number of leads with ST elevation suggest which patients are at highest risk and may warrant further consideration for either additional or alternate therapy.
