To the best of our knowledge, no other studies exist which investigate direct competition between Cs and U(VI), however, the competing effect of Co and Sr on Cs sorption (and the opposite), has been investigated (Gutierrez and Fuentes, 1993). It was reported that the Kd of Cs to bentonite colloids decreased slightly in the presence of Co and Sr, both as individual components or as a ternary mixture.
