Mössbauer studies of the YBa2Cu3(57Co)O7−x ceramics under oxygen exchange with a gas ambient

Abstract

Emission Mössbauer studies of the YBa2Cu3O7−x ceramics doped with 57Co have been carried out in the temperature range 20–500°C under the conditions of oxygen exchange with the Ar or O2 ambient. A complex pattern of the spectral shape variations with oxygen loss and the oxidation of the sample dependent on temperature and thermal history were observed. The results obtained are discussed from the point of view of the oxygen environment relocment and change of the electron state of the Fe ions.
