Abstract

Earlier work with Sb2O3 gave a value for R = Q/Q, the ratio of the 1st excited state quadrupole moment to that of the ground state, for 121Sb. The accuracy of this value has been improved by using organic compounds such as (C6H5)3SbCl2, which have larger electric field gradienst. The new result is R = 1.34 ± 0.01.
