Abstract
We consider the phase transition to quark matter in a system of high density matter, taking into account the spin-2 interaction among nucleons. We find that the transition is possible only if the spin-2 coupling constant is ten times smaller than its value at low energies. From this we are able to determine the scale parameter of QCD.
