Maximisation of an oil refinery profit with products quality and NO<inf>2</inf> constraints
2017, Journal of Cleaner ProductionCitation Excerpt :In view of this and by systematically considering refinery as a plant which encompasses many systems i.e. process and utility, Zhang and coworkers (Zhang and Rong, 2008) developed an algorithm namely MILP with the purpose of optimising energy usage. Nowadays, most petroleum refinery and industry have now accommodated the use of the planning models in many their units processes starting from the selection of crude raw material and down to allocation and so on as reported by Cox (1994). In the present settings of the oil and gas or hydrocarbon industry, planning requirements have become increasingly more difficult.
