The influence of hydrogen peroxide on the growth, development and quality of wax apple (Syzygium samarangense, [Blume] Merrill & L.M. Perry var. jambu madu) fruits
2012, Plant Physiology and BiochemistryCitation Excerpt :The accumulation of soluble protein was also induced after treatment with 5 or 20 mM H2O2. Results on the protein content in leaf were found to be similar to that of reported by Terry et al. [28], who discovered that H2O2 treatment significantly increased soluble protein in cherry trees. The red colour that appears on the wax apple fruit arise from the accumulation of anthocyanins [21].
