Abstract

There is a need for better software sizing models. Several existing models, including Albrecht's Function Point Analysis and DeMarco's system BANG, are examined as candidate models, and some of their deficiencies are noted. An architecture for a sizing model for applications systems is presented, its major components are identified, and their general functions described.
