Abstract

The method for shading of regions is considered as the basic study in raster graphics. A stack-based approach is presented in the paper. Without sorting of the boundary coordinates, the time and space consumed by the shading procedure are considerably saved. The facilities of the approach in 3D graphics are also illustrated.
