Abstract

We present a filter, i.e., a simple program operating on a sequential file and requiring little internal storage, for mending “cracks” between patches formed by recursively subdividing a parametric surface. Our approach shows how various new encoding schemes and processing techniques related to quadtrees can be transposed into the setting of recursive subdivision surfaces.
