Abstract

This paper presents the development of an adjustment method for the rational spline. The adjustment of the spline is completed by tensioning each internal section until the spline conforms to user defined data in a way which is both accurate and esthetically pleasing. The tensioning rationale for the rational spline is developed for use in an interactive mode with minicomputer and graphics terminal, but may also be used in a batch environment.
