Interactions of yttrium and lanthanum fluorides with other fluorides
2022, Journal of Fluorine Chemistry(INVITED) On the evolution of nanoparticles in nanoparticle-doped optical fibers
2022, Optical Materials: XCitation Excerpt :It also represents a potentially upper limit on the per-NP doping level from which to study any ion-ion interactions and concentration quenching in the resultant fibers. However, as a caveat to this selection, the phase diagrams in the literature [31–33] do not extend down to the room-temperature synthesis conditions of the NPs, so the exact phase composition under synthesis conditions was unknown. As discussed in more detail in Section 3, a second phase formed in the RE:BaF2 system, which necessitated the synthesis of 10 mol% RE:BaF2 to produce a single-phase sample.
