Effect of sealant agents on the color stability and surface roughness of nanohybrid composite resins
2016, Journal of Prosthetic DentistryCitation Excerpt :A similar study showed that color stability was directly related to the resin phase of composites and that UDMA (urethane dimethacrylate) was more stain resistant than bis-GMA (bisphenol-A-glycidylmethacrylate) or TEGDMA (triethylene glycol dimethacrylate).21 Chan et al22 investigated the staining potential of some beverages on different composite resins and stated that the greatest amount of discoloration occurred during the first week, which differed significantly from all succeeding weeks. Therefore, an immersion time of 1 week was foreseen in the present study to determine the potential for long-term stain retention.
