Abstract
The well known Shannon entroy −∑ pk log pk satisfies the inequality −∑ pk log pk 
− ∑ pk log qk. Extensive studies have been made on the inequality ∑ pkƒk(qk) ∑ pkƒk(pk) which contains the above inequality as a special case. In this paper, we consider the most general inequality ∑ gk(pk)ƒk(pk) 
∑ gk(pk)ƒk(qk) above type and obtain its general solution on an open domain.
