Abstract

The aim of this paper is to give a notion of functions excessive with respect to a nonlinear resolvent, to show that some properties associated with excessive functions hold in this case, and to apply these results to the resolvent of a nonlinear (even non-quasilinear) differential operator. When the resolvent is T-nonexpansive we obtain more results.
