Greatly enhanced infrared normal spectral emissivity of microstructured silicon using a femtosecond laser
2011, Materials LettersCitation Excerpt :At least half an hour is needed for the establishment of thermal equilibrium at any new temperature point. To validate directional spectral emissivity measurement results [6–8], the normal spectral emissivity of the paint Nextel- Velvet-811-21 Coating, provided by 3M CORP, was measured. An aluminum plate with a diameter of 30 mm and a thickness of 1 mm was spray-coated with Nextel-Velvet-811-21 Coating.
Comparison between multiwavelength infrared and visible pyrometry: Application to metals
2008, Infrared Physics and TechnologyCitation Excerpt :Various metallic samples have been studied (steels (316L, 304L, 316Ti), titanium), and results are given for temperature ranges between 600 K and 1000 K. Another approach has been proposed by Tank [21–23] who used a “staircase” approximation, with the only hypothesis that emissivity is constant over each spectral step. Some criterion given by Gathers have been found again [18]:
