Simulating the leading edge as a half cylinder, Mehendale and Han [7] experimentally studied the effect of turbulence intensity on the film cooling performance of standard cylindrical holes at different blowing ratios. As the mainstream turbulence increased, the effectiveness decreased as the dilution of coolant in the main flow increased.
