Abstract

The specific heat of nichrome sheet (Driver Harris, 60% Ni, 16% Cr, 24% Fe) was measured from 2–30 K. The data accurately follow C = 4.36 × 10−4 T3 + 0.253T (mJ g−1 K−1). The electronic term is considerably larger than the terms found in the constituent metals, and the lattice term indicates a Debye temperature of 428 K.
