Abstract

  • 1.

    1. The carotenoid pigments of the Branchiopod crustacean, Artemia salina were studied. They consisted exclusively of the keto-carotenoids, canthaxanthin and echinenone, in a ratio of 19:1.

    2. These findings were discussed with relation to the carotenoid pigments in the other sub-classes of crustacea.
