    Citation Excerpt :

The bacterial species were maintained under sterile conditions in the growth media with PTE poured in a microplate (Corning Incorporated, NY 14831, USA) under anaerobic conditions at 37 °C. The above set up was monitored for 24 h with regular optical density measurements at 600 nm in a microplate reader (Koch, 1970; Stevenson et al., 2016). The experiments were carried out with three replications, and the medium in the absence of bacteria served as blank, and the bacterium inoculated media without the respective PTEs served as control.
