2020, Kidney InternationalCitation Excerpt :Across exposure to both ACEi and ARBs, the prevalence of neonatal complications was greater with exposure during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. The most common complications are related to impaired fetal or neonatal kidney function resulting in oligohydramnios during pregnancy and kidney failure after delivery.60,61 Other problems include pulmonary hypoplasia, respiratory distress syndrome, persistent patent ductus arteriosus, hypocalvaria, limb defects, cerebral complications, fetal growth restrictions, and miscarriages or perinatal death.59
