Synthesis, photophysical properties and DFT studies of chalcones and their 2-methoxy-3-cyanopyridine derivatives
2023, Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology A: ChemistryCitation Excerpt :With a strong electron-accepting cyanopyridine scaffold in the center, these molecules display a donor–acceptor conjugated configuration. In addition to being favourable for biological activities such as antimicrobial, vasodilation, and anticancer [17–19], they have wide applications in the fields of sensors [20–22], probes [23], optoelectronic devices [24], and liquid crystalline compounds [25]. They emit in the blue region of the spectrum in a solid state [26].
Cyanopyridine as a privileged scaffold in drug discovery
2023, Privileged Scaffolds in Drug DiscoverySynthesis, DFT, and photophysical studies of substituted pyridine carbonitrile derivatives
2022, Journal of Molecular StructureCitation Excerpt :Hence designing a good cyano-heterocyclic fluorophore with a high quantum yield is of researcher interest. For instance, cyano derivatives found immense application in the field of electroluminescence devices [3,4], chemosensors [5,6] non-linear optical(NLO) materials [7–9], organic light-emitting diodes(OLED) [10–13], thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF) OLED's [14–15] etc. In view of this, there have already been extensive reports in the literature on cyano derivatives [16–18].
Dual chemosensors for metal ions: A comprehensive review
2021, TrAC - Trends in Analytical ChemistryMicrowave measurements of rotational transitions and nitrogen quadrupole coupling for 2-aminopyridine
2021, Journal of Molecular SpectroscopyCitation Excerpt :Due to its feature as a derivatizing reagent, 2-aminopyridine has been utilized as a fluorescent label in various applications such as mass spectrometric analysis, oligosaccharide detection and chromatographic separation. [4–6] Similarly 2-aminopyridine and its derivatives have been found to be successful fluorescent chemosensors and are therefore good candidates for molecular sensing applications [7]. It is also effective in inhibiting the corrosions of steels and therefore 2-aminopyridine and its derivatives can serve as excellent anticorrosion agents for industrial usages. [8]
