Abstract

To reveal the relations between land use change and thermal process based on source-sink theory, a case study was carried out in Guiyang City, China. Supported by date of land use type and meteorological data, through correlation analysis and regression analysis, the identification of source-sink types and relationship between source-sink types and thermal process are carried out, which contributes to understand the response of temperature to changes of source-sink. The results are as following. (1)

The result of correlation analysis between the rate of temperature and every land use type indicate construction is source landscape contribute to the thermal process; however, cultivated land, forest land, and grassland are generally sink landscape which has negative effect on warming. (2) Taking the changes of source and sink as the influence factors of thermal process, the relationship between source-sink change and the thermal process is significantly correlated, especially 4 weather stations including Baiyun, Huaxi, Kaiyang, and Wudang station. (3) When regional scale shifts from relatively low scale to high scale, the area ratio of source landscape (or sink landscape) under two scales is critical, and the function of source or sink is different because of the area ratio.
