Abstract

The Space Geodesy Centre “G. Colombo” of the Italian Space Agency, located in Matera, Italy, is a fully equipped “core station” of the worldwide space geodetic network, involved in observational and data analysis international activities. We briefly outline the facility, describe the main topics of interest, and present our contributions to the establishment of the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF) and to the International Association of Geodesy Reference Frame Sub-Commission for Europe (EUREF), including the Italian multi-technique geodetic solution for the central Mediterranean region (ASIMed).
