Auxiliary Substances Used in Technology of Soft Medicinal Forms: Ointments, Gels, Liniments, and Creams (A Review)

Abstract

The basic requirements to auxiliary substances used in the technology of soft medicinal forms (ointments, gels, liniments, and creams) are formulated and a classification of such substances with respect to their technological properties is given. The composition of each particular soft medicinal form has to be selected and optimized taking into account the physicochemical, biopharmaceutical, and technological properties of all auxiliary components.
