Abstract
Effects of magnetic field on antiferromagnetic states of EuFe2As2 were studied in pulsed-magnetic fields up to 55 T. In crystals of EuFe2As2, isothermal magnetisation curves in the magnetically ordered state show clear features of spin reorientation for Eu moments, but not for Fe moments. The effect of magnetic field on the Fe-spins is manifested by magnetoresistance measurements in the vicinity of the Néel temperature for the Fe moments. This result demonstrates the possibility of removal of the antiferromagnetic state that competes with the superconducting phase within a feasible field range.
