Journal of Engineering Physics and Thermophysics Aims and scope

An analysis has been carried out with respect to the errors incurred in the determination of the thermophysical characteristics of the high-energy heterogeneous material "aluminum–ammonium perchlorate–butyl rubber" and associated with the radiation transfer of energy in the heated layer under conditions corresponding to the realization of the laser-pulse method in the course of action of a finite-length collimated laser pulse on the material surface. The influence of the radiation absorption process on the magnitude of this error has been established.
