A New Glycoside of Michelia fuscata

  • Published:
Chemistry of Natural Compounds Aims and scope

Fuscatin B (1), liriodenine, (–)-anonaine, northalifoline, thalifoline, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, p-hydroxybenzaldehyde, vanillic acid, isovanillic acid, β-sitosterol, stigmasterol, 11,13-dehydrolanuginolide, and costunolide were isolated from the unripe flowers of Michelia fuscata (Magnoliaceae). Among them, fuscatin B is a new glycoside (caffeic acid phenethyl ester 3-O-4′′-rhamnosyl-(1′′→3′′′)-glucoside). The structures of these compounds were characterized and identified by spectral analyses.
