Magnetostriction Dependencies in FeCoNbB Alloys with Varying Fe/Co Ratio

Abstract

Saturation magnetostriction, forced magnetostriction and spontaneous volume magnetostriction were investigated in amorphous (Fe1-xCox)81Nb7B12 alloys Their values exhibit relative minima or maxima in the concentration region x=0.25-0.33. The dilatometric results are interpreted by two types of clusters exisiting in the amorphous matrix.
