Elastic Scattering of Neutron Halo Projectiles

Abstract

Elastic scattering angular distributions of 6He on light, medium and heavy mass targets have been analysed using a simple diffractive model for the S-matrix. The results show that a very large diffuseness in the angular momentum space is necessary to reproduce the data in the case of scattering on heavy targets.
