Abstract
The dose-response curve is reported of healthy rat brains exposed interstitially to argon laser light. By means of a 0.4 mm diameter optical fibre, doses of 1 W and 0.25 W were administered, for periods from 0 to 60 s. Well circumscribed oval lesions were obtained, sometimes with unexpected extensions towards a ventricle and even at distances from the main lesion.
