Abstract
We describe 3 patients in whom percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) of a stenosis at the origin of the profunda femoris artery was carried out successfully using a retrograde approach. Unfavorable anatomy precluded profunda femoris PTA via either the ipsilateral antegrade or the contralateral approach. Retrograde profunda fermoris PTA offers an alternative approach when other percutaneous routes of access are precluded.
