Effect of external pH on initial tone of rat basilar artery and its reactions to serotonin

Abstract

Extracellular acidosis and alkalosis induce constriction of perfuseda. basilaris isolated from rats. Acidosis suppresses, while alkalosis has no effect on serotonin-induced vasoconstriction.
