Abstract

The first part of this paper (Fay et al., 1974) presented the background to the work and put forward a design for apparatus for clamping and stimulating a small muscle specimen in a controlled environment. The apparatus described included an electromagnetic actuator and both force and displacement transducers. This concluding part shows how the system is controlled and sequenced.

La première partie de cet article (Fay et al. 1974) présente l'acquis des travaux et suggère la conception d'un appareil permettant de fixer et de stimuler un petit spécimen de muscle dans un entourage contrôté. L'appareil décrit comprend une commande électrique et un transduceur à la fois de force et de déplacement. Cette partie concluante décrit le contrôle et la mise en séquence du système.

Der erste Teil dieser Arbeit (vonFay u.a., 1974) zeigte die Vorgeschichte der Arbeitet auf und stellte eine Apparatekonstruktion zum Einspannen und Stimulieren kleiner Muskelproben in kontrollierter Umgebung vor. Das beschriebene Gerät hatte eine elektrische Betätigung sowie Meßwandler fûr Kraft und Verlagerung. Dieser abschließende Teil zeigt, wie das System geschalten und in Folge geschaltet wird.
