Cross-species handling of colobine infants

Abstract

At Tiwai Island, Sierra Leone, several instances of red colobus (Procolobus badius) adults handling white infants of black-and-white colobus monkeys (Colobus polykomos) were observed. These observations are described and their significance is discussed.
