Concurrence of transient asplenia and pure red cell aplasia

Abstract

We report a 9-year-old male with anatomical asplenia diagnosed at 7 months of age documented by ultrasound and liverspleen scan which resolved spontaneously 3 years later. The patient concurrently had pure red cell asplasia which subsequently resolved spontaneously.
