352. Gefäßersatz in der Mikrochirurgie — PTFE-Prothesen im Tiermodell

Summary

The use of thin-walled, 1 mm- and 2 mm-diameter PTFE prostheses (GORE) for arterial replacement was examined in a rat model. The infrarenal aorta (diameter, 1.2 mm) and left common carotid artery (diameter, 0.6 mm) were replaced by two prostheses (diameters, 2 or 1 mm) in the same animal. After 90 days, all animals were killed and the grafts removed for macroscopic and histological examination. All grafts were patent; no stenosis was observed. A thin neointima had developed in all grafts. The use of prostheses approximately 50 % larger in size than the replaced aorta or carotid artery yielded excellent patency in these PTFE grafts.

Zusammenfassung

In der vorliegenden Untersuchung wurden PTFE-Mikroprothesen (GöRE®) 1 mm und 2 mm Ø, dünnwandig) für den arteriellen Gefäßersatz im Rattenmodell untersucht. Die infrarenale Aorta Ø = 1,2) und die linke Carotis communis Ø = 0,6) wurden im gleichen Tier durch 2 mm bzw. 1 mm Prothesen ersetzt. 90 Tage später wurden die Tiere getötet und die Prothesen untersucht. Alle Interponate waren offen, Stenosen wurden nicht gesehen. In allen Prothesen wurde eine dünne Neointima beobachtet. Unter Verwendung von Prothesen, die ca. 50% größer sind als die zu verbindenden Gefäß läßt sich in der vorliegenden Studie ausgezeichnete Brauchbarkeit von PTFE-Mikroprothesen nachweisen.
