Detection of fluorine on the nanogram scale; inorganic and organic fluorine compounds

  • Published:
Microchimica Acta Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

Very sensitive nanogram techniques for the detection of fluorine are described. They are based upon the evolution of hydrofluoric acid which is revealed by the Cerium(III)-Alizarin Complexone reagent. The methods are suitable for the detection of fluoride in waters, minerals, salts as well as in organic compounds including complex pharmaceutical preparations.
