Abstract

The effect of various thermal coatings on the fatigue resistance of heat-resistant alloys at room and high temperatures is examined. The Locati method is seen to be ineffective for determining the endurance level of materials with brittle coatings. Data are presented which point out the effect of condensation coatings on the endurance limit of a series of heat-resistant alloys at room temperature.
